APPLE WATCH AND WEAR OS

Apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS.

We develop smartwatch apps for health, fitness, and everyday tasks. We design for short interactions and small screens, with attention to battery use, sensors, and phone synchronization.

$ ls ./deliverables

Wearable app development: scope of work.

We agree on the deliverables for your project. These are the areas we can help with.

watchOS & Wear OS apps

We build standalone and phone-connected apps around the navigation and interaction patterns of each watch platform.

Health & fitness tracking

We integrate health data through HealthKit and Health Connect, with support for workout sessions and sensor readings.

Complications & tiles

We create watch-face complications and tiles that show useful information and provide quick access to app features.

Battery-aware design

We profile background tasks, synchronization, and sensor use to reduce battery consumption.

Notifications & haptics

We design notifications with useful actions and haptic feedback, taking timing and interruption into account.

Phone + watch sync

We synchronize data between phone and watch, with offline support when the devices are apart.

$ ./build --steps

How we approach the work.

We plan the scope with you and review progress together as the work develops.

  1. Moments & glances

    We identify the tasks people need to complete or check quickly on a watch.
  2. Glanceable UI

    We design the smallest screen first and make the important information easy to read at a glance.
  3. Sensors & sessions

    We implement health data, workout sessions, and background tasks using the platform APIs.
  4. Battery & accuracy

    We measure battery consumption and check sensor readings on real devices.
  5. Launch & complications

    We prepare the app for release, including its complications and tiles.

Questions, answered.

It can work independently or alongside a phone app. We decide which features belong on the watch and which need the phone, based on your use case and the connectivity available on the device.

We integrate the platform’s health frameworks and test the sensor-data flow on real devices. We also discuss the limits of what the wearable can measure, so the app’s features reflect the data it can provide.

We measure power use, limit background work, and choose how often the app syncs. We use those measurements to balance the app’s features with its battery demands.

Yes. We can build a watch companion that syncs with your existing iOS or Android app and backend.
