Who we are
PkDeveloper (“we”, “us”) operates https://pkdeveloper.dev. PkDeveloper is a trading name of Pavlo Kabanets, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. For anything in this policy, write to hello@pkdeveloper.dev.
We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect
We collect the following information:
- Contact form submissions
- When you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email address, service interest, budget range, and project brief you enter. Submitting the form is voluntary. Only your name and email address are required so we can reply.
- Server request logs
- Like every web server, ours records the IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp of each request. These are generated and retained by our hosting provider, Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany.
- A short-lived rate-limit record
- To stop the contact form being flooded, we hold your IP address and the times of your recent submissions in server memory. Submissions stop counting against you after ten minutes; the record itself is dropped as space is needed, and every record is gone when the server restarts. None of it is written to disk. Where our host does not pass your address on to us, no address is stored at all and a shared counter is used instead.
What we do not collect
This website does not:
- set any cookies, first-party or third-party
- run analytics, heatmaps, session recording or A/B testing scripts
- run advertising or retargeting pixels
- attempt browser or device fingerprinting
- embed third-party content such as videos, maps, chat widgets or social buttons
- load fonts, scripts, or images from other domains; everything is served from ours
You can check this in your browser's network panel by reloading a page. All requests go to this domain.
Storage in your browser
If you use the light/dark toggle, we save your choice under “pk-theme” in your browser's local storage. This lets the site open in your chosen theme. The stored value is “light” or “dark”. It stays on your device, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
That is the only thing this site stores in your browser.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to you
- Where you contact us about a project, we process your details to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and in our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To keep the site working and secure
- Server logs and the rate-limit record are processed in our legitimate interest in operating a reliable site and preventing abuse.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we never sell it.
Who else sees it
The following providers process data for this site:
- Our hosting provider
- Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany serves the site and generates the request logs described above.
- Our contact-form destination
- Form submissions are forwarded to our email inbox so the team is notified. If that destination is not configured, the form does not send — it tells you so and offers an email address instead, rather than silently discarding your message.
We may also disclose personal data where we are legally required to. We do not share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries: kept while the conversation is active and for up to 24 months afterwards so we can continue it if needed. We will delete yours sooner if you ask.
- Server logs: retained by our hosting provider under their own schedule, typically a small number of weeks.
- The rate-limit record: ten minutes, in memory only.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU or EEA, the GDPR gives you the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data erased
- restrict or object to how we process it
- receive it in a portable format
- complain to your national data protection authority
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you comparable rights to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
To exercise any of these, email hello@pkdeveloper.dev. We will respond within one month.
International transfers
Our hosting provider and contact-form destination may process data outside your country. Where that involves a transfer out of the UK or EEA, it is made under the safeguards those regimes require, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Security
The site uses HTTPS. The contact form validates submissions, limits their size, and applies a rate limit per IP address. No system is perfectly secure. We do not store personal data on this site beyond what is described above.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
Before introducing anything that changes what this site collects, such as analytics, an embedded widget, or a new form, we will update this policy and the date at the top of the page.
